Brand New: Sharpfolio 2!

I’ve just rolled out a massive update to Sharpfolio, my WordPress Portfolio Theme. There’s a heap of new features, including things that many of you’ve been asking for like comment support, automatic “lightboxing” and image resizing, custom pages and a completely re-worked design.

Sharpfolio

Since this is a complete refresh, there’s bound to be a couple of outstanding issues (from my personal testing it’s fairly air-tight), and I’d love to hear what you think, so if you’ve got any comments be sure to throw them my way.

Enjoy.

Thanx, I was waiting for it. :)

  6. I stopped using WP ever since Tumblr can out onto the scene because of it’s ease of use but web enthusiast seem to be flocking back to WP with the big recent upgrade. I recall using your theme at one point and it was great but now that I’ve come across this huge enhancement, it’s making me want to come back. Great job. Looking forward to using it in future projects.

  7. I like this! Good improvement :D

When I was looking for a simple theme to throw up a one-stop entry page into my sites with, I chose your theme. I’ll update it to the new one version when my other main site is done.

I’ve seen literally thousands of themes and in my eyes, Sharpfolio is one of the very best AND extremely useful for some stuff that shouldn’t just come across as a blog (and something that is set up in a blink of an eye, which I needed at the time. I think it took me all of 10 minutes from start to finish!).

Great job. I’m happy that I recently checked what was up around here … had I not, I might have missed the new version altogether.

  14. Devian says:

Sorry to bother you, but I can’t figure how in the hell to disable Lightbox on Sharpfolio.

  15. Love the theme. I made a few modifications here and there and am running it on my site.

  16. Jeff says:

Any idea why my wordpress would think this theme is broken? it says there’s no style sheet, but the style.css file is in there… can’t figure out why it won’t work.

  17. Jim says:

Love the theme. Very slick looking and easy to use.

Like Devian, I was wondering if there was any update to the archive/category page yet.

    Thanks!

I have a very basic WordPress install and I tried simply to switch from Sharpfolio 1 to Sharpfolio 2, and got this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: the_title_attribute() in /home/17720/domains/dansicko.com/html/wp-content/themes/sharpfolio2/folio-format.php on line 9

    Anyone else?

  19. [...] [...]

  20. Just curious, is the fix for the archives/categories page i.e., http://webrevolutionary.com/sharpfolio-demo/archives/category/wordpress available yet? Thanks, great work!

I am trying to install a “patch” of sorts to have the lightbox window automatically resize to the size of the browser window. Unfortunately, that patch only works with lightbox 2.04. Is there a way to update or change the version of lightbox the theme automatically refers to?

  22. benz says:

Hi, got hold your wonderful theme, very nice. Is there a way you can add the descriptions on other pages? Thanks.

  23. ben says:

just to answer the question, because it took me a little to finally disable the lightbox feature: comment out the first line of ‘header.php’ That’s where the lightbox plugin is included. I simply prefer to have my own lightbox as a standalone plugin. thanks!
