The quality if the product overall is ok. I have a similar monitor that I have it set up as a dual monitor. However this monitor seems a little darker when both settings are set the same. The power light on the monitseeks lit not as bright as the other monitor. 2 completely similar monitors. I would expect them to be the same. I just feel weary about the new laptop that doesn't seem just as up to par with my current one. But the product seems to work overall. Was nicely packaged when the unit arrived. No hassle with the dealer. Overall, everything was good.
Purchased this monitor at an electronic Big Box store NEW for around $150 +/- over 3 1/2 years ago. This monitor has served me very well on 2 computers (first was an IBM business computer, current is a Gateway DX4300-11). QUALITY BUILD! I love this monitor so much I just purchased 2 more refurbished units (@ $99.99+S/H) from an on-line Electronic Retailer. I checked eBay first but couldn't get it for less than $110 USED. No offense but since I could get this referbed. with MFG warranty for a lower price, I'm going for it. My review: Quality all the way. I'm not a "gamer" but this is a nice sized screen that can handle 3D graphics. Plug and play easy, this monitor is recognized right away in my computer. This continues to be used daily for more than 3 years with zero dead pixels. I've always used "auto" settings, without need to adjust them. You could say it's been used as a student monitor, since I went back to college. So now I've ordered an additional video card (2 DVI output from here on eBay), a dual-monitor stand, and 2 additional monitors. I plan to have all 3 hooked up. I've learned that having multiple monitors increases my productivity.Read full review
I bought the monitor for the sole purpose to repair and resell. I was going to give a "average" rating because like nearly all LCD's the power supply capacitors fail, but decided to give it a "good" rating instead because of the ease of the repair. A lot of other brands will put up quite a fight for disassembly. This monitor however comes apart easily after removing the back cover screws and the stand. And after the repair, this monitor works really well, it has no flaws, no stupid pixels.

An oldie but goodie in terms of LCD monitors. The base is sufficiently sturdy and the chassis is as thin as it needs to be. DVI and VGA inputs, nice bright-ish screen, but like some LCDs of yesteryear, the off-angle viewing leaves a bit to be desired. If you're trying to match up monitors for a dual-screen setup, for a uniform dual-screen viewing experience, you can't go wrong (I had previously mixed a Princeton monitor with my other Acer AL-2216W, and now have two.) Keep in mind this is a 1680x1050 resolution 22" - many newer ones are 1920x1080 and a slightly different aspect ratio as a result. I like the 16:10 experience for my computing.
