I am pretty much a cheapskate. I wanted to add a reasonably good LCD second display to a modern Haswell laptop with a touch screen and Windows 8.1. I didn't want to spend all that much, so I looked for a refurbished VGA monitor and got an inexpensive adapter so I could plug it into the HDMI port. Space is tight on my desktop, so I wanted a monitor I could raise and lower by a big amount and tilt forward and back. What I found was a unit that was the top of the line 7 years ago on some office desk somewhere, cleaned and tested, and carefully rewrapped in about a mile of bubble wrap. I spent about a quarter of what I could spend for a modern monitor. The image and speed are not quite up to modern standards, but I'm not too critical. I now have a very large visible space for my programming projects, and a pretty nice way to watch streaming classical music concerts on YouTube.Read full review
When i purchased these monitors I was afraid that they would be cheap. They are not cheap at all. In fact it's pretty heavy. At first glance they appear to be small, But once i placed the monitor next to my existing wide screen monitors, I realized that the viewing area is significantly taller. And is much easier to look at than my old ones. The color is absolutely perfect. Anti glare, and anti dust makes it look amazing. The picture is super clear, Even on the most intensive games and movies. The buttons are very easy to reach, But so far i haven't needed them at all. Everything sets up automatically for me. Dvi and vga inputs are a necessity for me, Since i still repair older computers, And work flawlessly. The usb hub on the monitor only has two ports, But if your going to set it up on an old fashioned desktop, Then that would give you exactly what you need for keyboard and mouse. Aside from the beautiful picture on these monitors, The stand itself is amazing, It has wire guides to get those annoying wires out of the way. Full 160 degree swivel, Tilt, Up and down. It's almost a robot arm in action. Overall my opinion is if you want a multiscreen desktop, And you want to do it cheap, But with quality monitors, Then these are the ones you want. I am very impressed with these monitors, And love the price.Read full review

Other than it looking different from my other HP monitors, the screen quality is fine and feel I got a great deal

New in Box, properly packed, arrived a day early. Priced better than used monitors of the same model. Highly recommend,

I have purchased many used monitors over the years. I finally stopped buying anything but HP. They are solid long-lived units and they can be purchased at a reasonable price.
