This is my second 22" Acer monitor. I also own an AL2223W, so the decision to buy another Acer (for my fiance) was an easy one. When it comes to cost/performance ratio, this monitor is an exceptional value. Plug-and-play, and if you like, Widows 7 automatically downloads a driver for it. Easy to navigate controls, but I didn't have to make any adjustments other than setting the resolution in CCC after installing O/S. While it may not have the highest resolution, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Besides, 1680 x 1050 is more than sufficient for mainstream users. I got lucky and picked up a "like new" one on eBay for $95 (inc. s&h), and I couldn't be happier! Would I recommend this product to a friend? You bet I would!
Bought this monitor because I had been using an identical one and wanted to do dual screen. The first one had been very satisfactory, and had a good quality picture. Not to mention that the price was right. When I first set it up, I used some old cables I had instead of using the ones that came with the unit. I was getting ghosting on the right side of any dark entity. Was ready to send it back, then thought it might be cables. Changed the setup and "voila," a perfect picture. Two of these make a lot of real estate, and as I do a lot of graphics I can use it up really quickly. (Now maybe 3 screens?)
I bought this monitor (even though used) because of the price and feel like it was a good buy. Screen picture is very good and overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. The only thing that bugs me are the controls for contrast and brightness. I can't seem to make them work (I downloaded the instruction manual so I hope I know what I'm doing). I probably don't need to adjust them very much as the picture is about perfect but I'd like that option.
Responsive to all of my questions and flexible regarding pickup options. The monitor was clean and in perfect working condition as well. Thanks again!

This is a really excellent large entry-level monitor. This is my third one. My first two are nearly two years old and have suffered heavy use and occasional abuse (in a classroom) and have held up very well. While the resolution isn't terribly high, the image quality on these monitors is very nice for an entry LCD.
