Amazing IEM
This is my 1st ever thing I buy from Ebay. I had an XBA-Z5 and MDR-7550 (MDR EX-800 international version). Both are good in their own. Been curious about MDR-EX1000 SQ, so I decided to get one. So happy with this legend (MDR-EX1000). SQ is definitely better than both my XBA-Z5 and MDR-7550, I can feel it. Its soundstage and separation are wider than XBA-Z5. Treble is (suprisingly) not as "piercing" as those people said (even though I prefer warm-ish IEM, I think MDR-EX1000 is super fine). The bass.. I don't know which is better between XBA-Z5 and MDR-EX1000. Both are good on their own way. But then I remember, MDR-EX1000 is only using a single DD. That's amazing for a single DD to sound this good. Thank you for this like-new product you sold. Great deal! (Sorry bad english)

Haven’t had this much pleasure listening to new headphones in a while. Pros: clarity, soundstage, instrumental imaging, bass, vocals, texture, and neutrality. Cons : price? oddly shaped ? Truly difficult to find anything bad about it. These headphones are somewhat warm and dark just like fine espresso. Beautiful piece. Japanese import. I [heart] SONY.

Simply the BEST!
These are getting very hard to find. These are my second pair, one for evening computer word, the other for my Sony Walkman at the gym. People complain about the sound isolation but I ain't hearing better than this with any earbud. I'll keep it simple....these are the BEST!

Natural and Impressive dynamic IEM.
I haven't used the EX1000 for that long; ~10 hours but I am very impressed so far. The soundstage and imaging seems superior to the W4 and presentation just seems so natural. I really enjoy the bass on the EX1000s and highs are presented very nicely as well. On the other hand, the W4's upper mids seem more lush and have a nicer decay to them I believe. In addition, the EX1000 is prone to wind noise as expected and the cables don't seem as durable as the W4's cables.. Very impressed overall though, and definitely a great IEM to check out

The best monitor in ear headphones
Superb sound , drivers characteristics strong high and mid high sound and powerful bass background . I recommend them mostly indoors , they seal your ear canal so well making you unaware of your moving surrounding objects .
