I upgraded from 17" to 22" monitors because the larger monitors were a little pricey at the time. The extra real estate really made a difference, but I still couldn't run at the native resolution which gives the highest quality viewing experience. At 27' I can run at native resolution and be able to read everything on the screen, unaided. My only issue with this monitor is the difficult to navigate set-up menu on the monitor. I played with it for hours and still can't get to all of the settings. Fortunately; I was satisfied with the "out of box experience" and gave up on the set up menu and went with 3rd party software adjustments.
In the product model number it ends in either cbid or dbid. the dbid model sits up a bit higher on a mount and has much smaller bezels. This is an excellent monitor for a eyefinity 3 monitor array and the triple monitor gaming still blows my mind. If you are only getting one monitor than either of them are fantastic, if you are getting more than one that will be mounted I would suggest making sure they are all the same (preferably the DBID).
