Remote is just a remote. This remote works well.
Made for these TVs and work well. Only issue is battery cover which is entire back or bottom half slides off too easy. Recommend a small piece of tape when new batteries put in. Last long time so no worry as you will not need to change for years. So put as much as you need. I put one revolution of 3M electric tape around palm end and is not very noticable. And fixes issue. A blitz of rubber cement on slide grooves is good to as it does not get too hard and in couple years will pull off easy.Made for these TVs and work well. Generic Replacement for Vizio remote
From a distance it looks the same as the original Vizio remote with the exact same button arrangement. I checked the brand on this product listing before purchase and was impressed to find a listing that was the actual Vizio remote; this is not it. Up close the plastic has a different feel/finish, the buttons have a different font than the original and my OK button is upside down. It is a fully functional 1-to-1 replace of the original remote but it is not a Vizio remote; it is a generic one made with the same molds Vizio used. In my second photo you can see the slight differences between the Vizio remote on the left and this product on the right. From a distance it looks the same as the original Vizio remote with the exact same button arrangement. I replaced my original remote for my vizio smart tv. The original remote took alot of abuse over 4yrs.( meaning being dropped many times )I found the original remote on ebay for only $6.25.Works Great so far!I would advise anyone with vizio smart tv to buy one! It works, but that's about it!
It's not a genuine Vizio remote, but it works. The vizio logo on the center button was bent and fell off before I even used it. The original Vizio remote was one of the worst remotes I have ever had; really cheaply made with a piano black finish that was so hard to keep clean that I had to keep it in a plastic bag. So it would be hard for this replacement to be much worse than the real thing.
