I've owned many HP monitors over the years and have been happy with all of them. NOTE: This review is for the HP-Compaq LA2405x, 24-inch LED 1920 x 1200 monitor ... not the ZR2440w as listed. I love this monitor with it's great adjust ability for height angle and pivot. The picture is great with the additional resolution available vertically and the 16:10 aspect ratio. Sure it's not an IPS panel but for under $200, it's a great deal. The dot pitch is also .27 ... coming from a 27-inch Viewsonic with a .31 dot pitch and 1920 x 1080 resolution, the improvement is amazing.
GREAT bright screen, and perfect for dual monitors for real estate set up for legal documents. I have the ZR24w model amd the zr2440w is MUCH brighter with true whites and very clear screen. I use this for real estate uses with both monitors side by side with pivot and perfect for legal documents and cut and paste with adobe.
The HP zr2440w has a 16:10 aspect ratio. Most computer monitors now have a 16:9 ratio. With 16:10 there is less scrolling. Also great resolution at 1920 x 1200 instead of 1920 x 1080. So you see more. And this monitor has excellent picture quality.
