This is a compact, lightweight point and shoot camera introduced by Pentax in 1987. It won awards from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) and European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA). As such, it was ground breaking in some of its features. I've been using Pentax cameras since 1974 and find them to be some of the most innovative and durable cameras around, especially for the money. The early Spotmatic and K1000 film cameras are legendary and still in use. The early manual lenses (Pentax and Takumar) are renowned for the very high-quality of their glass and solid-metal construction that makes them extremely durable and desirable. More modern Pentax lenses, especially the Legacy lenses are well made and some are very sought after.
