This is a low res monitor. Suitable for a backup. Be aware that you must reset your systems resolution to no more than 1600 x 900 to even get the monitor to recognize the signal. (May have to start computer in safe mode and adjust resolution since this monitor will not work with higher res which all of us use.) It pales in comparison to any mid-high end monitor in sharpness and contrast(only 1,000:1). Worth about $50 in my estimation. I would hate to look at it for any real length of time. My 17 year old Gateway CRT is easier on the eyes over the long run. Also keep in mind that the 20" is diagonal on a wide screen, thus it looks "squat" on the desk and at 1600x900 res you can't fit two usable windows side by side (must over lap or be too narrow to be useful. Bought mine at ebay just for use with an olde pc while I setup my new one. Since I will run both systems parallel for some time, it is quite adequate for my purposes. If I had bought it as a primary monitor, I'd take it out and shoot it. I should also add that I have not used it via DVI which could help, but I'm not going to have it up enough to bother.Read full review
Picture quality is as good as any 20 inch monitor I have seen and the anti glare screen is a plus over the older 2009 monitor by HP. The style is nice too if you like the silver trim that matches last years offering by HP. But the internal speakers are just barely useful. Pay the extra bucks for a good set with a subwoofer if sound is important to you. I wish it had USB connectors but still nice for most applications.
I love this monitor. I bought it to replace a new HP W2072 which I bought last month when I bought a new computer. That monitor had a good picture but I was disappointed in the sound. I didn't want to have to use separate speakers. The HP 2010i has a beautiful picture and the sound is very good. I am very happy with this monitor.
Bought this to match existing monitor for dual screen setup.
