This is my 4th one. I use it on my motorcycle. I like knowing the time & temperature. They are NOT waterproof. I keep mine in a clear plastic case. The screen will also go black when it gets hot in the sun so I keep a cloth over it when I’m parked. They are reliable, accurate, and keep time well but are not designed for external use. Still searching for one that is.

Since most electronics won't last forever, I'm on my third. I would be extremely happy if the wire to the outside sensor was longer. Each unit has lasted about 1.5 years.

Works pretty well. I would recommend drilling more holes on unit for the interior temp. It has 3 small vents on one side & takes a long time for temp to adjust. I would put more on opposite side with 1/8" bit, just stop as soon as you drill through.
