I have had two of these Sony A200 bodies over the years. The first went on an extended photography trek using four different lens, 50mm to 400mm, none in the professional class. Captured well over one thousand images in all sorts of weather. Using my in-camera settings not one image was a throwaway as far as the image quality was concerned. Images displayed true color and were always VERY sharp, thanks to the built-in image stabilization. Never had to use the monopod or tripod, even at the long end of the 400mm. Using a battery grip this body handled well with any of my lenses, some light, some heavy. My generic batteries gave good life in the A200. Shot to shot speed was fast when needed. One thing noticeable, compared to my other dslr bodies, is the shutter actuation noise is louder, which is no bother for me when shooting outdoors. This second A200 body is performing as brilliantly as the first. Recommend highly if you are looking for an older dslr body without all the ridiculous gimmicks of the new. And, being an A-mount body you will have the vast assortment of excellent used slr Minolta lenses to choose from.Read full review

This is a replacement body for the a200 I lost during a storm in Verona. It worked for the rest of the trip, but failed when I tried the flash. Bought a new a390 . but a200 had features I missed. Saw price, I bought another. The a200 was packed quite well, well protected. The features are good on the a200. It is lighter than the a390. Overall one happy customer.

This was not state of the art when it was first released and certainly is not now. For what I paid however it is an excellent value. Very good image quality, as good as anything else insofar as viewing on a computer, the web, or on a TV. If you routinely print out your photos to a larger than 16x20 you'll never realize there's anything better, 10.2mp is more than enough for most people. It has a good feature set and takes all a-mount lenses meaning any Minolta Maxxum AF lens from 1986 to today. That means lots of mediocre to very good glass cheap.

This cameraa is very good. it's a bit more complicated than the average digital camera, but the pictures it takes are worth it. You can basically use it sraight out the box, and the look is pretty cool as well.
Awesome
