I purchased this used computer because it was an inexpensive way to get an upgrade. I had a Windows XP machine and as you are aware, XP is no longer supported. I wanted a machine with Windows 7 that could network with my other windows 7 machine. Since the other is a DELL also, this one was a natural. This machine is not brand spanking new, does not have the fastest harddrive, memory or video, but it is a workhorse! I upgraded to the latest bios for the motherboard and that seems to have solved all of its underperformance issues. It has accepted all the software I transferred to it and the on-board video is acceptable. I have had really good experience with DELL as a brand and would recommend you consider them as a PC vendor.
I chose this because I have the same model at work. I am very happy with the Dell OptiPlex 780. Everything runs smoothly. It has plenty of memory. It makes a louder than expected fan noise when it first wakes up but only last about 30 seconds and doesn't create any problems. I use it every day and I'm glad I purchased it.
superfast like it very much little tricky to transfer files from xp to wn.7 leave to expert if you want to make life easy. I do love it looking for 1 more.
I wanted the computer for low end Hi Def. video production. It runs corel video pro x 7 with no problems. I have a canon vixia hg20 3.2 megapixel HD. camera. Best computer I have had so far. Good Computer!!!! I will check to see if I left feed back to the seller.
If you are in the market for a new computer, because your old one crashed, you need to give these a second look. Unless you have money to burn. Very pleased with mine. Replaced my Lenovo laptop, you can get 5 or 10 of these.
