The 200 cd/m² brightness level is underwhelming, really only acceptable in a dark room, and 1600x900 is fine for video but distinctly inferior to full 1080p for other computer usage. The range of viewing angle on the vertical axis is also quite poor, as bad as any other TN screen I've used. If you attempt to use it from more than one position, like sitting up and laying down, you're going to have a bad picture at one position or the other. Also, if you are laying on your side, the difference in contrast between your eyes could produce nausea and/or a headache. On the positive side, it does handle HDMI video (but not audio) if an adapter is used, and since it is LED backlit, it doesn't get very warm. It also allows the power LED (which is bright blue) to be turned off through the menu, which beats putting electrical tape over it.Read full review

This monitor is decent. Picture does look washed out. Viewing angles are decent(not the best), but good if it is facing towards you.
