I bought 3 from different sellers. All were counterfeits where regular hard drives were relabelled (both in firmware and physical label on drive) as SSHD drives, with invalid serial numbers, no NAND-chip on the PCB etc. No wonder so many users claim no speed boost using these, as you are more probable to get a counterfeit than a real thing.

I was expecting some sort of performance boost. If I got it, it's to small to notice. I question if and how the "solid state" features work. I was expecting a separate solid state partition which would hold the operating system but that is not the case. If some sort of special setup that I may not be aware of is necessary, there certainly is no instructions to be found from any source. It did solve the primary reason I purchased the drive. This computer came with a Hitachi drive which, like all Hitachi's made so much noise you could here it from the opposite side of the house. This one is tolerable, but nothing special. It is a large hard drive. Nothing more! In the end, I was disappointed.

Works smoothly for long hours with no problems. Do NOT use this for PS4. If you're looking to upgrade your PS4's HDD, use the 2TB version of this drive. This 4TB drive will cause unexpected application shut downs on your PS4, but the 2TB is just the right size and it also runs at 7200 RPM.
