    Gol3 3 Pole 3.5mm headphone jack plub

    Just installed the plug and it is of good quality. You will require a very fine tipped soldering to into the tight areas. This plug is not mean for wires larger then 28 gauge. If you use a larger gauge wire, you will most likely not get the screw-on cover to go on. The ground wire will need to be as flat as possible with minimal solder else the solder will make a bump on the plug which will prevent the cover from going on. Once the heat-shrink is applied, the cover will be very difficult to attach. I had to secure the plug so that I could work the cover over the heat-shrink/ground wire solder connection. All-in-all, I would consider purchasing this item again if needed, but I think the price is a bit too much for 1 plug. Marlon

    A pain in the neck to solder

    Really REALLY too small to be able to solder it and IF you do, your cable and soldering are too big and you can t put the metal cover on it. The soldering skills needed are non human. However if you feel up to it this is great quality and great looking.

    Perfect for repairing earbuds

    This is a high quality part, suitable for repairing portable equipment. It does not really come out in the pictures how small the plug is but notice how the outer cover is about the same length and not much wider than the connector, then compare with a mini-jack you have on hand. The plug is designed for the thin lacquered wires normally used in headphone wires, and takes some skill to solder.

    A good looking and slim plug, perfect as a replacement for a malfunctioning plug.

    While the soldering space is a bit cramped, it's easy enough to do so even with little practice. The soft stress relief does its job well and also looks quite nice. One word of advice though, it's REALLY slim, and you have to pay attention while soldering the ground cable as the ring it goes on (and doing so in the way it's shown in the pictures) may not let the plug screw corrctly.

    The only true slim minijack on Ebay

    These connectors really are only true slim minijacks on Ebay. All others are fatter and less beautiful. Just what i need to couple my Yamaha EPH-50 to Samsung Level Link by shortening headphones cable. Caution: very small parts, you'll need good soldering skills. And these phones cable are insulated only by red and green paint. You should not damage it, or cable will be short circuited. Use small soldering iron, preferably ‒ good soldering station with tempereature control. Use shrink insulation is absolutely must.
