Excellent color. Love the size of the display. I also like the pedestal it sits on and that was one of the main reasons I got it. I looks really cool. I bought it to do CAD work on. I'm using it as an add on to my laptop (Acer). Setup was quick and easy. Just a few clicks and I was done. It doesn't have HDMI inputs or USB and maybe some other stuff some users might want. That's the only reason I didn't give it an excellent. But it definitely meets all of my expectations. I like the Acer brand alot.
This monitor is an excellent value - the right price point between performance for the money and overpaying for other brands. I have two set up now and they are simply amazing! The picture is excellent and the user adjustment controls easy to use. The HD resolutions (1920x1080) makes for excellent video quality. Simply a top-notch product. Probably the only negative mark is the stand. While sturdy and not to large, a couple awkward angles make cleaning it difficult without disassembling the monitor. But that's pretty minor, honestly. The advantages far, FAR outweigh this minor complaint. Paid ~$150 each for mine. Would be a deal at $200 each.
I bought mine from Staples when they were on sale for $149 and then used some ink rewards certificates....needless to say this monitor is worth $149 or less than $100 as I paid. The unit even includes the DVI cable and it works nicely with my Macbook Pro (once you figure out Apple's logic with external monitors). The negative is the lack of adjustment on the monitor. It has a very simple plastic base that is a bit "cheap" looking. Ni vertical adjustment so I had to sit it on top of a elevated radio. However, I can deal with the small inconvenience considering the picture is sharp and the price is cheap!
Very nice monitor for the money especially if you buy it used. This is my second Acer X 233H 23" monitor! They were somewhat over priced brand new and they don't have the clarity of newer computer monitors today. It has VGA, DVI and HDMI inputs so it's very flexible on choosing which input to use. It's really just a good plug and play monitor so you really don't have to tinker around with the settings trying to make it look better.
I really enjoy acer monitors. At first I was unsure of the name until I bought my first one from TigerDirect at such a good price and ever since then I was looking for another. Good build quality, the buttons are really clicky, deep blacks, and really dense pixel ratios. Can't really get better then that! Love my Acer X233H's maybe I'll get a third someday? ;)
