I owned one set of these Shure SRH750DJ headphones that I used for piping my stereo music and stereo guitar (mixed) into. They did the job perfectly. I did not realize how perfect until my grandson broke that pair and I tried to replace them with a pair of Sennheisers. Although I kept the Sennheisers for work headphones, they did not handle the stereo guitar properly. I went back to the old reliable with a new Shure SRH750DJ set. These things handle anything you can throw at them. Even though an article said that the Sennheisers were the best headphones to use with guitar, these Shures beat the pants off of them. They can handle any frequencies you throw at them, at any volume. With the Sennheisers, the guitar sounded kind of reverbed and had the edge really taken off of it. The true guitar sound did not come through. The guitar sound, and the stereo sound (together) both come through perfectly with the Shures. They have a plastic structure, which is why my grandson was able to break one of the notched pieces on the extender for the phone on one side. But I'm sure he was rough with it. If not for that, it would have probably lasted forever. The cups are not overly comfortable, but they are comfortable enough for me to wear for hours without thinking about them and they don't start to hurt my ears after a while, so I am fine with the comfort level. These can't be beat for what I use them for. Very pleased with my second pair, just as I was with the first pair.Read full review

I read several reviews a where people said that the beats studios were a lesser quality than the shure 750dj headphones. I've got several different brands all from reputable companies. And these by far are no comparison to the studios in any way. Build quality is by far the worst I've had, they constantly creek whole your wearing then. Because of the cheap build quality of plastic. I sold these within a week of buying. 50$ skull candies are better than these

As a DJ for many many years I bought the SRH750DJ. All in all they have a great sound nice bass and they are pretty flexible. The only draw back I have with them is they are pretty tight and after wearing them for a period of time they do hurt your ears. I would have rated them excellent if it was not for how tight they are. They do have better sound quality than higher priced cans. Just avoid these if you have a larger than normal size head.
Well bulit, sturdy. Sonically - very good balanced sound, not a bass heavy as one can suppose from letters DJ. But after long use require small maitnance: tightening the screws and greasing moving and sliding joints. If you can get them cheap - don't think twice, its a good deal.
