There isn't anything bad to say about the mac mini. It is what it is, if you want a compact and reasonably fast mac to use as a media server then the mac mini does the job.
We now have three Mac Minis being used in our household/home office (along with two Mac laptops). All work seamlessly together and never crash or fail. My iBook has been used weekly for about 8 years now and it still runs quickly and has worked problem-free since it came out the factory. Regarding this model, it could do with having a larger hard drive, but I use this as a server with hard drives attached so it's not a major problem. It works with all monitors that get plugged into it and all peripherals too. I have to use Turbo Lister every so often so I run Windows 2000 on it (using a free virtual PC application) and it runs Microsoft software quicker in emulation than it does on the dedicated PC that we also have available to us. It looks good, runs very quietly and never gets hot, even in Spain where it gets used. I can't fault it at all. If you buy one you will be a happy person (IMHO)! Cheers.Read full review
