i live in the south where its 100F, humid, has rain storms and i like to sit on the porch and listen to music or talk radio. These speakers are built to withstand punishment (i dropped one from 6 feet - theyre heavy and it took a chunk out the deck). I had to use a 6" steel bracket to hold them in place. Slightly inclined so the water will run out of them, after a rain storm! Considering they only have one speaker in them, they sound really good. I play rock music, and they can get loud if you need to. I drive them with a 80 watt amp that can handle 4-8 ohm speakers. They were used when i got them and ive had them 3 months, ive had storms and so far so good. I had these same speakers on my patio for 30 years and 1 finally quit. These used speakers are a cleaner version of what I had. Work great.

Bought this unit to add to my system for TV listening. Very good sounding speaker. Compared to a similar sized speaker. It is great with the mounting bracket. Hanging it was a snap.
