These headphones are good, not great. The problem I have are that these have a medium sound stage. They have an awesome punchy bass but it's not very extended. They don't have that deep rumble that full sized headphones tend to have. These are the absolute best on ear headphones I've heard. I've not that pleasure of trying the amperiors, but at that price I might as well go for a higher end used headphone. the replaceable cushion is an absolute nightmare to replace. I had to youtube how to do it. That said, it is awesome that absolutely every piece of these headphones are replaceable. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. I am currently trying different EQ apps to try and widen the sound stage.
The Sennheiser HD 25-1 II headphones are a good portable, travel, or on-the-go headphone because of their high sensitivity (120 dB). Other than the cups, you can barely feel them on your head. Additionally, their ergonomic form should create a comfortable fit for almost any shape or size of head. The HD 25-1 II headphones also feature a rotatable side for one-ear listening. These headphones are perfect for DJs and those with careers in professional A/V as they're able to cancel out a lot of ambient noise without distorting the overall sound. The HD 25-1 II are also very rugged and are made for every day use, especially on-the-go.
I've been on a search for perfect headphones in the last few months and have already picked up four (not to mention the hundreds I've spent) and am most happy with the Sennheiser HD-25's! After researching DJ headphones, these got the best reviews for sound and quality. They're great for DJing (what I bought them for) but are great for studio monitoring as well. These are currently my daily use when I'm working as they sound amazing and are comfortable enough to wear for hours. Other over-the-ear headphones I've used for long sessions eventually start to hurt my ears, but the Sennheiser's don't! Plus they're lightweight which makes them pretty much perfect in my book. Highly recommended and worth the retail price.

The Sennheiser HD 25 are one of the best headphones (if not the best) I worked with. I use them now when im DJing and in my home studio and I found them to be very professional. I worked during the last years with a few brands and diff. types of headphons and i found the HD 25 to be at the top. They look very simple but they do the work. love the balance of the HI's and Low's - other headphones let you hear something diff. then what is really played - Emphasize what they want. the only thing that i can maybe say as a disadvantage is the simple look of the headphones.. it's a matter of taste but i think that other HF look better BUT still i wouldnt buy something cuz it looks better for my tast, i would buy it if its good and professional - and thats what this product is! Recommended!! p.s - I wouls still Recommend for any customer to go to a store near by to listen and hear dif. things in diff. headphones and then decied what they like!Read full review
These are very good quality headphones. The sound quality is crystal clear. I used to be a big fan of Bose headphones until I tried these. Bose are actually very muddy sounding when listening to classical music where every nuance counts. Sennheiser's are excellent!
