This is a nice little camera. It fired right up and was easy to set up in basic mode. The video quality is good, and monitoring with your smartphone, tablet or PC is easy. I put in a 32GB microSD card, which stores clips of detected motion, and loops after a few days when it becomes full. Though intended only for indoor use, I have it outdoors, mounted high and very well protected under my porch ceiling where it will never get wet. So far so good. Night vision is excellent, but the bright red lights make it obvious. The only thing I didn't like were the instructions (one card with a "quick" guide). Anything more than basic setup, which was pretty automatic, requires searching around on different site pages, and the ability to get their IP Search app on your PC (which only works with Internet Explorer, not Chrome). It took me a few days to figure it all out, and I'm not sure I have it all yet. I even typed up a technical sheet with the various steps required to get through the features, and sent it to the company (Zomodo) for their edit and inclusion in packaging. I think I will order one or two of their similar wifi outdoor models. The price is right and it allows remote monitoring of our place. I see no way this can be hooked up to a DVR or other type of recorder, but that isn't what it was designed for.Read full review

I've had wireless IP webcams before, so when I bought two of these, I expected them to install just the way my former webcams had. It turns out that there's no software with this camera, which means that there's no setup program to install it. Well, that isn't totally true. There is an "app" that you can download to your smartphone, provided that you own a smartphone. I don not own a smartphone and have no plans to buy one, so I am out of luck if I want to set these cameras up. I tried to download the app using a tablet, since I thought that might work, but that didn't work either. The app will only work on a phone. I think it would have been a really good idea to make this point known in the advertising. There is a brief mention of a smartphone, however, after having installed security cams in my home before, I had no way to know that a smartphone was the ONLY way to hook these up. I should have sent them back, but I didn't. I'll probably give them away or throw them away. They are useless to me. I would suggest that all buyers be extra aware when purchasing security cams like these. I've gone online a number of times trying to find the type of cams that I was originally looking for and it seemed like just about everything I found required a smartphone for setup. If you have a smartphone, that's great, but if you don't steer clear of security cams that mention them. I'll do more research the next time before buying a replacement.Read full review

For $40 and the price of a memory card this little camera is good for beginners. It works best when the camera and the monitoring system uses the same wi fi connection. That is when all the camera functions work the best. Using different wi fi systems you lose most of the camera functions except receiving still shots. I have not found a way to extract the files from the memory card. No program on my ASUS computer unlocks those files. However, for monitoring things in your house from your house it works well. Also, the audio works well too usuing the same wi fi system.

I wasn't expecting much since this camera is a fifth of the cost of other devices. I've seen other devices run $200 plus. The quality of the picture is great. The low light camera is outstanding! The fact that you can hear and talk through the device is also a plus where the other more expensive devices; not all of them do that. It was pretty easy to set up and the app works good. Very impressed and would definitely buy this again! I know people who have bought similar devices for much more and I wish I was able to tell them about this before they had bought the more expensive competitors. Pros: Great Price! Great features! Great video and picture quality! Cons: None (It would be great if the manufacturer had these in packages. Maybe 2 or 4 cameras in a group package)

Extremely high quality streaming machine. I can see my cats doing their shenaniganism and even talk to them using the intercom which they totally ignore but I think it's a great feature with lots of potentials! It's small, light weight, very cool looking. You can access to it from your phone or computer. If you want to be notified of any motion detection it will send you right away pictures to your email, plus you can record into a SD Card which doesn't not come with the camera but they are less than $9.99 bucks! I am getting two more as Christmas presents!
