The top removable shield would easily blow off in a slightly strong wind so I had to tape them on with black tape. I doubt these hold up to weather for very long. We purchased these because we have a problem with people dumping garbage on our property when there is corn in the farmers field and we can’t see the toad. But it is too far from the house to use wireless real camera and it would be expensive to bury wire that far. So we are hoping these will act as a deterrent to dumpers. But I really don’t want to have to put up a new set every few weeks. We will see..,

When you press on the Dome it should turn on and off like a Dome Light operates, it ... When you press on the Dome it should turn on and off like a Dome Light operates, it has a switch built into it. This product does not have a switch and stay on 24/7. The only way to turn it off is to remove the batteries. That is very inconvenient to do. When I read the product description it says to press on Dome to turn on, but you don't have to press the dome,because there is no switch in the product. Even that is a lie. Put a switch in it like a battery operated Dome Light and you will have a better product. The lens also had a very long and wide scratch on it.
