Monoprice 22x14x8 case: out of the box this thing is fantastic and seems sturdy. Comes with THREE layers of removable foam on the bottom, and one layer of eggs carton foam on top. Great bargain case that appears to be flight-ready. I have a few pelicans and these seem like similar quality for a third of the price. A Bargain for the Price
The Case: 4 Stars Considering the how much less this is for equivalent "name brand" cases it is without question a bargain. Though slightly less clean or "pro" looking in terms of the plastic quality, the built is spot on: everything lines up well, you get a tight seal once closed, and the details are all plenty heavy-duty. Well done all around! The Foam: 2.5 Stars The foam is probably the area that is most noticeably "less than" what the original branded products give you. It's definitely lighter weight, and doesn't pull away nearly as cleanly or easily as the original "pick-n-pull" foam. It's not a deal breaker, but it does make the packing of items a little less professional looking and the fit isn't as tight. The "original" version has both layers attached, so you could for instance have a full square shape yet have the middle solid (like a reverse picture frame shape) This foam can't do that, the middle will just be loose. Perfect spotting scope case
This is a perfect size for a spotting scope case. It fits the scope nicely and has room for a few accessories. Great value for the money as I shopped around for a while looking for a good price on a case this size. Great price for this "odd" size (22" long). I'm very happy.

Great case, even better price
I honestly sort of thought the dimensions had to be incorrect for what I was paying for. Sure enough, it was correct. The first thing I noticed was how solid it felt taking it out of the box. Super sturdy and sound. There's is a bit of weight to it, but not too much. The handle is thick, yet comfortable, and the connection to the body was solid yet smooth. Upon opening it, the clamps were solid as well. I don't foresee them piping open accidentally no matter what, which is s good thing. They aren't overly hard to open by hand. The hinges did not wobble, and the lid stays in position when opened. There is an equally rugged pressure equalization valve, and a little label under the handle. The foam is dense, and in the form of two equally thick sheets, which is nice for duel layers or ... I honestly sort of thought the dimensions had to be incorrect for what I was paying for. The top has a thick layer of wavy foam filling it entirely. Overall, I was pleasantly surprise with what I got for the money. Equal quality cases from pelican/ape case and others will run you easily twice as much. This is w high quality product, at an incredible value. No need to feel like you're compromising protection for lower cost, because you aren't. It's a damn good case.

No complaints here!
I needed this one because of the depth. I wish there was a little more bottom padding, but I can make that work. It is weighs less than I thought. It's still sturdy and protective. Easily customized to fit my equipment. All around great item & even better price.

I like these better than my Pelicans because they stack better. Even when backwards or upside down, they stack - better. In all other regards, I can't say one is better than the other brands I have.
