We are the original owners of this beautiful pair of 1974 QUAD ESL 57 speakers, with all original parts. We recently tested them, and they still work very well - lows, mids, and highs all sound complete. You can use them with their original amplifier and preamplifier (QUAD 405 and QUAD 44, respectively, which we are selling separately) or with any modern amplifier/receiver. Power cords for each are included.Cosmetics:One of the speaker grills has a noticeable dent in the lower left corner, and the other has a much less noticeable dent in the center towards the bottom (we have heard that dents can be fixed by removing the grill and rolling a glass bottle over the back of it). The back panels have some dust inside, which is difficult to clean without removing the panels, and the wooden feet show signs of wear from years of floor washings. Otherwise, these speakers are in great condition for being over 40 years old.
Shipping:Because they are quite delicate, we do not want to ship them and are offering free local pick-up (and loading assistance if needed).
