Good condition and guaranteed original WWI Canadian Model1905 Ross bayonet. This bayonet was supplied to the US military during WWI andused for training and home guard use. Bayonet is marked “U.S.” and “flamingbomb” on the right side of the guard. Bayonet has Ross patent markings on theright side of the pommel and the Canadian Broad Arrow C marking on the left sidepommel and dated 3-10 for March 1910. Underside of pommel is Canadian unit marked \"W 2GG\" for Blade has correct original metal finishof blue at the base and remaining bright which is turning gray and brown withsome scattered pitting. Remaining metal finish has plum brown and brown patina.Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit, lock button functionsfine. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that is in about faircondition and also has the “U.S.” and flaming bomb markings. Leather shows somewear and a few stiff areas. Belt loop is missing. A hard to find U.S. markedRoss bayonet in any condition.
