Important note: this item has 2 flaws that should be considered before purchasing.
1) There is a shallow scratch in the wood on the top of the box, shown in the pictures. This could be filled with a furniture touch-up stick from any hardware store and would blend in fine, but I didn’t want to alter it any more before listing
2) The unit has an intermittent, low volume buzz/hum which tends to go away after about 20-30 min of use. My research suggests a quick capacitor replacement would solve this issue, and there are instructions online for performing this repair.
Because of these, this item is being sold as-is, but for anyone who is familiar with Monitor Audio you know the potential this sub has to completely revive your stereo music or surround setup.
Originally used as part of a Monitor Audio RS surround system with RS6 front channels, this sub provides musical and incredibly responsive bass. And if you already have a set of Monitor Audio speakers in Walnut, this will match them perfectly.
