fantastic item! turn your old or extra SATA HD into a portable HD. For those interested in this but unsure how to use it, it comes with mounting brackets, 2 plastic pieces with nodules on 1 side. These are necessary to stabilize the HD within the case. The nodules fit in the screw(mounting) holes of the HD and will stabilize it. Great buy and good price!

Save that large desktop hard disk
This is a reasonably priced hard disk enclosure. I used it to save a 1T HD from my desktop. No instructions but pretty simple. The 2 extra plastic panels stabilize the drive in the box.

i have a laptop but I have been hospitalized for 9 months / I needed files from my home computer / paid a person to reetrive files / I got word that my home computer failed to boot / unable to retrive files. I requsted for him to remove hard drives from home computer and purchased this external hard drive enclosure / easily retrived needed hard drive files with a very very huge smile on my face. woderful product that is so easy to use. simple external hard drive hookup
I had a computer "fry" that had nearly 1000 old family pictures on it, which I had done in a scanning/restoration project. The tech pulled the hard drive and said it may or may not be good. This device was inexpensive and worth the try. Great for the price.
It works well as I needed something to run my old disk, My one issue is that you need to use caution when you move the hard drive with the circuit connector into the container. You could easily bend the circuit connector and could damage it's function.
