Mostly works OK, but I'd rather have the Sabrent EC-UASP as it works reliably in USB-3 mode,comes with a power switch, & a longer USB-3 cable with Type-A connectors on both ends. Whereas this listing's drive box has shown some intermittent USB-3 speed problems working with USB-3 hubs. Primarily that it intermittently gets stuck in USB-2 mode. Fewer hassles with the Sabrent USB-3 box means I'll probably buy more of them in the future.

couldnt really use it the way it was supposed to. the hard drive i wanted to use turned out to be encrypted by the system it came out of. Will have to have others do the job. The product was not at fault and I intend to keep it in case some other drive shows up. thank you for this opportunity to explain that not all things that do not work are the fault of the product. Fits laptop drives well enough: however once the drive is settled inside and lid & USB connector are secured, the drive RATTLES just slightly when handled. User needs only to set it down on a good surface once all is assembled and secured. I guess if there was zero room to rattle the drive couldn't be placed inside at all, so...six of one, half dozen of the other. The USB connector all by itself works REALLY nicely, so this is NOT a waste of time or money, for all it's so inexpensive. Fantastic drive case for cheap!
These enclosures are the best ever! They are a tooless design and are easy to pull apart if needed. The case edges are smooth and not sharp like others. I have been slowly swapping out all of my external drive cases for these.

Product has not lasted even 3months!!! It is no longer accessible. Once plugged in, it sounds evidently powering the drive but with no blue light that was visible when I just got it and does not show up in File Explorer.
