Weak skinny bracket keeps a bright light from getting 5 stars
I have bought several of these LED lights. They are bright, easy to install. I purchase a package of two of these lights two years ago. One is still up and working fine. The other one has recently been replaced by the light I just purchased. Let me tell you about the broken one. I had it up about 3 months when the "neck" or skinny bracket that hold the solar panel broke. I ordered four replacement "necks" and replaced the broken one. I also moved the solar panel location from a very optimal light gathering location that was in the direct prevailing wind (which I feel is why the bracket broke, from the wind) to a less windy spot. There was no damage to the solar panel at this time. About a year later the replacement neck broke, and this time then the solar panel fell it snapped the ... I have bought several of these LED lights. They are bright, easy to install. I purchase a package of two of these lights two years ago. One is still up and working fine. The other one has recently been replaced by the light I just purchased. Let me tell you about the broken one. After repairing the electrical wires and trying to fix the panel, I realized that it was a goner because the panel did not function, and the batteries went dead. Long story short, I ordered another light and panel, installed the panel in a less than optimum location for light gathering, but very protected from the wind. And everything is working fine. There is an inherent design flaw in the bracket that holds the solar panel. The "neck" is NOT strong enough to hold the panel in wind (which happens all over the world from time to time) and needs to be redesigned, beefed up. The unit is very bright as I said before, which is very important for motion sensing security lights and it's a shame a spindly bracket keeps this light from getting 5 stars.Keep the solar panels out of the wind.

Great backyard motion light!
Only been up a month but it's great. Super bright, sensor is over the limit they gave so it turns on when I'm far away. Sensor is also positional! Was easy to install. I used a pole as the landlord didn't want me putting screws in his siding. No prob. It illuminates the entire back yard which is very large and even some of the connecting field. Thanks!

I waited a year to rate this product. I wanted most to see most of all how they performed through the cold winter, short days without much sunlight, and many with overcast skies. I may be rating this fixture 5 stars prematurely but don't think so. The overall appearance and feeling of quality, with all needed hardware and clear customer support instructions, make me believe this item will work properly for many months or even years to come. Mine arrived with a pre-charged battery pack to allow pre installation testing and election of sensitivity settings. Very, very simple to install. Hardest part of installing it was dragging out the ladder. I could not be more pleased at this point and may end up buying more for use on my rural property with some unwired outbuildings. I can't believe something this handy and effective can be had for such a reasonable cost. I may be rating this fixture 5 stars prematurely but don't think so.
